Nice to meet you.

I am passionate about giving data a voice. I believe in empirical context and love creating a vision and leading teams in pursuit of delivering this context.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics and leverage this background to synchronize behavioral research, data visualization, and actionable insights. I currently serve as the Director of Institutional Analysis for the University of Utah where we’re contually finding new ways of leveraging data to improve students’ lives and university effectiveness. I love what I do and am having a blast working with the best people in higher education.

I have an insatiable appetite for data, strategy, tacos, and innovation.

I’d love to get to know you, let’s connect. Click on any of the links at the top and bottom of the page.

DATA ANALYSIS

Data analysis provides context.  Ultimately, decisions tend to be better when they are informed by empirical evidence.  But that's not a new concept, most everyone believes that.

I beleive that proper data analysis requires 4 things:

  1. Relationships + people skills
  2. Concise, clear, communication
  3. Understanding of inferences
  4. Good data that is understood

LEADERSHIP

I believe in trusting the people who are closest to the problem.  I am an objective-based leader who creates a vision, defines roles, communicates expectations, and gets out of the way.
